Birdeye Data Build in Public Competition: $7,000 in Rewards for On-Chain Builders

Birdeye Data is officially launching a four-week Build in Public Competition.

Over the next month, we are dedicating $7,000 in cash rewards and enterprise-grade API access to developers building the next wave of onchain tools, trading bots, and AI agents. We want to see what happens when the fastest builders get their hands on the fastest data.

The opportunity: data for the next wave of crypto builders

The way developers build onchain applications is changing rapidly. AI-powered coding tools are compressing development cycles, what once took weeks of API integration can now be scaffolded in hours. But faster development doesn’t lower the bar for data quality. Execution without data is blind.

When developers vibe code a trading interface, a portfolio tracker, or an AI agent, they need a robust, production-grade data layer. We are issuing an open challenge to solo developers and builders to aggressively showcase how real-time token prices, trades, and onchain intelligence can power massive tooling ecosystems.

Building with AI? Birdeye MCP makes it native

If you are building with AI , data retrieval shouldn’t be your bottleneck. Birdeye’s MCP Server connects directly to AI coding tools like Claude and Cursor.

Instead of reading docs and constructing API requests manually, developers query live Solana and EVM market data in natural language. Ask for real-time prices, historical OHLCV, or the newest trending tokens, and the MCP delivers. The developer focuses entirely on product logic and workflow.

What participants get

Participants compete for weekly prizes across four weeks, but every builder gets a chance to stress-test their ideas using the same data infrastructure trusted by top-tier protocols.

The weekly prize pool includes:

• Top 1: $500 in USDC plus a 2-Month Birdeye Data Premium Plus Plan ($1,000 total value).
• Top 2: 2-Month Birdeye Data Premium Plus Plan ($500 value).
• Top 3: 1-Month Birdeye Data Premium Plus Plan ($250 value).

Note: Birdeye Data rewards are granted as API credits equivalent to the plan value. Winners can use the credits at their own pace until the balance is depleted. All credits are valid until April 1, 2026.

Projects are evaluated equally across four key metrics:

• Community Support (measured by X views and engagement)
• Product Utility
• Technical Depth
• Presentation (GitHub repo quality plus Intro Content).

Winners are announced every Wednesday.

How to get started

You don’t need permission to start. The sprint is open now:

1. Get your API Key: Head to bds.birdeye.so and create your free account to grab an API key.
2. Ship your build: Develop your idea and hit a minimum of 50 API calls to qualify.
3. Share your progress: Build in public. Post updates on X by tagging @birdeye_data and using the #BirdeyeAPI hashtag. Open-sourcing your code on GitHub and referencing Birdeye Data is highly encouraged and boosts your Presentation score.
4. Submit your entry: Complete the official registration form to lock in your submission for judging.
